Nivedan Tiwari

Nivedan has worked in the medical optics, medical device, and electronics fields since the mid 1990s.  He co-founded Tatvum Research in 2014 and leads Tatvum Research’s intraocular lens design, optical science and process development efforts. Nivedan has developed novel patent-protected intraocular lens designs for improving patient satisfaction, several of which  are now commercially available across the globe. Nivedan’s areas of expertise include optics, mechanics, laser applications and medical device design.

Nivedan received his engineering education from IIT Kanpur (B. Tech.), the University of Maryland (MS) and the University of California, Irvine (PhD).

Krishnakumar Venkateswaran

Krishna has worked on imaging, image processing and optics research since 1990s. After 10+ years of experience in vision science and intraocular lens design R&D, Krishna co-founded Tatvum in 2014 and leads Tatvum’s projects on design, development of smart biometry devices, advanced IOL toric calculators, clinical research organization and trial data analysis, clinical modeling and simulations.

Krishna has authored several papers in peer reviewed journals on a variety of topics in astronomy, non-invasive testing of materials, high resolution imaging techniques and vision research. Krishna has also authored book chapter in the Handbook of Adaptive optics and co-authored papers presented at ARVO, ASCRS and ESCRS conferences. Krishna received his education from The American college, Madurai (BSc and MSc in Physics) and Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (PhD-Physics)
